DOT CLOCK

Singapore, an island commonly known as ‘the little red dot’ as often depicted in maps, is the inspiration behind this design for the clock.

Solid wood is used to form the rim and the face of the clock. The ‘dots’ for the minute marking was gently introduced on the clock surface. The concave shaped ‘dot’ exposes the underlying natural wood against the stained surface. Brass hands complete the look. This was a collaborative project with the Ishikawa prefecture and craftsmen from Japan.
